Are you a "Positive" person or a "Negative" person

Do you usually see the glass as half full or half empty? I generally consider myself as a "half full" sort of person. But lately, I have been waking up in the middle of the night or sometimes in the morning with all sorts of worries; things I can't do one thing about. Generally, I'm better once I get up, have my first cup of tea, and start my day.

I came across this article on Facebook, and wanted to pass the advice along. Here is the quote at the beginning: "Build a positivity circuit: spend 1 minute looking for positives, 3 times a day for 45 days."

I'm going to try that. One minute is doable for all of us. Control freaks like me sometimes have to remind ourselves who really is in control. Thank God, He has a better plan than I do. When I remember that, I can drag my mind back to reality, and get on with my day.
Think Positive!

What Is Your Favorite Book of All Time?

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I always have a book or two (sometimes three) that I am reading at any given time. I have read a few lately that were page turners. I'll post about those next week. Reading a really exceptional book usually gets me to thinking about other favorite books I have read. I began musing about the one book that I would keep if I could only have one book.

Yes, I know my mind probably goes places that no other person's brain would even consider. So now I'm going to challenge you. What book or books, other than your Bible, would you NOT want to be without or what book have you read more than once? Post your answer in the comments below.

It was hard but here is my short list. These are books I won't ever give to Goodwill.

I have every Jan Karon book that she ever wrote, they are staying on the shelf.
My River Jordan books too. I'm  anxiously waiting for her new book that is coming out this year.
Havvah by Toska Lee
The Lord of The Rings books by JRR Tolkien
The Shack by William P. Young

I love my Amazon Kindle, and I will probably never get all the books read that I have downloaded. But, there is just something special about holding a real book in my hand and seeing it on the bookshelf.

What are your "keep forever" books?

This is Us...Anyone else addicted?

A story is a story whether written on paper, read on a device or watched on a screen. I don't know where I was last year when This Is Us became the hottest show on TV. I guess I was watching some crime or NCIS series with Bill. 😏

So, all my friends were talking about this show and warned me that I HAD to watch the very first show from last year before I could understand what would be going on this year.

I ordered the whole season on DVD and it arrived in my mailbox Friday. Oh, My Goodness! I am hooked! I've watched the pilot and 7 more episodes in the last two days! I have 2 more DVD's to go. I hope to watch them all before the new season begins next week.  I hope the premier that was on after the Superbowl is on my disk. If not, I'll have to visit Amazon to watch it too.

I feel about this series the same way I feel when I find a book that is so good, I literally can't put it down. I read The Shack straight through. I actually read all night. Those don't come around often. Neither does really good television. I am not a big fan of TV, too much violence, sex, and plain lousy shows out there. This Is Us is the exception.  If you haven't watched that very first show and hang on! Or come over to my house and watch with me, Bill is not a fan. Maybe it's a "girl" thing. Post a comment if your husband or significant other likes the show and watches with you.
